What Lies Beneath, The Hurst
I spent a week at the former home of writer John and journalist/critic Helen Osborne in the Shropshire countryside. It is now a writing and arts retreat. Famously, the Osbornes would have wild parties for their London friends where vast amounts of champagne was consumed. What did they do with all of those bottles? They threw them in a little pond on the property. We were given the prompt, "What Lies Beneath" and this was my response.
